When selecting the most suitable product for your insulation or protection application, there are several important factors that need to be carefully considered. The selection criteria should include:-

1. The continuous operating temperature to which the insulation medium will be exposed.

2. Operating environment i.e. corrosive, indoor/outdoor, static/vibrating, molten metal.

3. Temperature reduction i.e. hot face to cold face.

4. The need to be air tight.

5. Permeability and porosity.

6.  Expected life of the insulation/protection item.
