Twill Weave fabric is constructed with one or more warp ends weaving over and under two or more weft threads in a regular fashion to produce either a straight or broken diagonal line in the fabric. This weave is more pliable than plain weave and improves the folding, hanging and draping capacity allowing better coverage over curved surfaces.

Basalt fibre is produced in a continuous process, similar to E-glass. In many ways the Basalt fibre out performs E-glass. It has superior strength, more akin to S-glass and has a much higher operating temperature up to 650°C, melting at 1450°C. With properties within the same range it is a viable alternative for many applications.
